Pollen Robotics is a French startup founded in 2016 by two former PhD researchers in developmental robotics and AI, Matthieu Lapeyre and Pierre Rouanet. The company’s mission is to provide open source robots and AI to explore real-world applications. Reachy, their first humanoid robot was launched 5 years ago at CES 2020.

Pollen Robotics will be revealing their robot’s new version, Reachy 2 at CES 2025.
Reachy 2 bridges the gap between academic research and real-world applications through an expressive, bio-inspired design for intuitive interaction and precise manipulation, a user-friendly platform for rapid prototyping, and a robust open architecture that fosters innovation and adapts to diverse industry needs.

Pollen Robotics secured second place in the prestigious teleoperated robotics competition ANA Avatar XPrize in 2022, earning a $2M cash prize. In January 2024, the Pollen Robotics was enrolled in the Meta AI Startup Program and in November 2024, the startup was listed among renowned French start-up campus StationF “Next40” selection, showcasing the 40 best-performing startups in France. Matthieu Lapeyre, Pollen Robotics' CEO, was recently listed among the "geniuses that make France shine" by media Le Figaro.
