GREENYELLOW SIGNS A NEW SELF-CONSUMPTION PHOTOVOLTAIC PROJECT WITH DUPOL NEXT IN ZANICA (BERGAMO, ITALY)
GreenYellow, a global leader in decentralized energy transition, announces an agreement with Dupol Next, a company of the Sacchital Group specialized in the production of flexible packaging for the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical sectors, for the installation of a 700 kWp rooftop solar plant at its industrial site in Zanica, in the province of Bergamo, northern Italy. This installation, fully dedicated to self-consumption, will generate around 800 MWh per year, cover 18% of the site’s energy needs, and avoid the emission of more than 335 tons of CO₂ annually.
Founded in 2024, GreenYellow Italy relies on a flexible and integrated model to accelerate the decarbonization of C&I companies. The company designs, fully finances, implements, and operates all of its projects—whether photovoltaic plants, energy efficiency and electrification solutions, or energy storage systems (BESS) —thus ensuring the reliability and stability of a traditionally intermittent source. To support this ambition, GreenYellow Italy plans to invest €100 million over the next three years.
“For us at Dupol Next, sustainability is not just a goal but a concrete path that guides every industrial decision. This project with GreenYellow marks an important step in reducing the environmental impact of our Zanica site and strengthens our commitment to delivering responsible and innovative packaging. Investing in sustainable solutions means investing in the future of our customers, our employees, and the local community,” said Alberto Luppi, President of Dupol Next.
“This project is a concrete step in Dupol Next’s decarbonization journey and confirms our mission to support industrial companies in their energy transition and reduce their dependence on the electricity grid,” adds Pierre Marouby, General Manager of GreenYellow Italy. “In line with our investment plan in the country, we continue to position ourselves as a trusted, all-in-one partner, delivering tailor-made and sustainable solutions.”
