Frankfurt am Main, 15 October, 2022 -NBA player and human rights activist Enes Kanter Freedom will address the crimes against humanity happening in Turkey for more than 6 years. The event has been organized by the Tenkil Museum e.V., a German NGO based in Frankfurt and is being held at AGORA in the Signing Tent of the Frankfurter Buchmesse. Tenkil Museum e.V. is a non-profit dedicated to raise awareness on massive human rights violations happening in Turkey. The speech will be dedicated specifically to highlighting the plight of the victims and survivors of the Tenkil and their resilience, whose unprecedented struggle should be recognized. In October 2020, the UN Human Rights Council declared the widespread persecution and dehumanization of the Gülen Movement as “crimes against humanity”.  Through this event, they want to inspire advocates to find their voices. The event is open to members of the press and visitors of the Frankfurter Buchmesse.

Peaceful Actions Platform

Peaceful Actions is an European grassroots platform, established by several civil society organizations, who joined forces in order to build a collective momentum, raise awareness and take action for human rights.

Believing that no one is free when others are oppressed, Peaceful Actions aims to be the voice for victims of human rights violations and to develop a network of local partners operating around the world to promote human rights.

Both through expanding our existing partnerships of different human rights organizations, and building a wider network of grassroots organizations, we are keen to connect organizations and initiatives around the world who have the shared aim of defending human rights and building sustainable peace.

Through our network, we highlight the work of local peacebuilders to raise the profile of their work, connect them with other like-minded organizations, and to share their insights with a wider international community.

Tenkil Museum e.V.

Tenkil Museum Association set out to be the voice of the Tenkil Process and grievances in Turkey, to record Tenkil, and to stop this crime against humanity as soon as possible.

The Tenkil Museum Association is doing so by maintaining an exhibition with the objects of the Tenkil victims; building the Tenkil Memorial Center by processing the data and relevant information about the Tenkil and making it accessible to the public; and raising public awareness about human rights and freedoms through outreach and education.
In addition to these, it carries out studies in the fields of archives, documentation and law. It carries out its activities as an association established in Germany and having the status of public interest.
