- GreenYellow, a leader in decentralized energy transition in France and internationally, and Orange Polska, the Polish telecommunications giant, have signed an agreement to solarize the Warsaw Data Hub, one of the largest data centers in Poland.
- This 20-year contract is based on the innovative PVaaS (Photovoltaic-as-a-Service) model. GreenYellow will handle the financing, construction, maintenance, and operation of the rooftop solar power plant, enabling Orange Polska to benefit from local, competitive green energy that is 100% self-consumed on-site without any initial investment.

The main Concrete and Sustainable Benefits

The 299 kWp photovoltaic plant, installed on the roof of the Warsaw Data Hub in Lesznowola, will annually produce 250 MWh of green energy, totaling 5,000 MWh over the contract period. This energy will be entirely self-consumed by the site, thus avoiding injection into the local grid and reducing distribution costs for Orange Polska. The project will also prevent the emission of 3,200 tons of CO2 over the entire period, marking significant progress in reducing the company's carbon footprint.

An Innovative Partnership Model

Thanks to the PVaaS model, GreenYellow covers the investment costs, offering Orange Polska an efficient decarbonization solution without straining its credit capacity. GreenYellow Polska's teams will provide a turnkey service, from energy solutions analysis to full system management, including investment planning and installation.

"We are delighted to work with one of the world's largest telecommunications companies. We closely follow the challenges faced by this sector and respond with our decarbonization platform offers. The scope of the agreement is tailored to Orange Polska's individual needs and addresses the client's real issues. The long-term benefits we guarantee the client - both financial and environmental - are integral to the agreement," says Anna Dobrowolska, Sales Director at GreenYellow Polska.

GreenYellow continues its mission as a committed accelerator to the energy transition, supporting a highly energy-consuming sector in its decarbonization actions. Moreover, this project fully aligns with GreenYellow's development strategy in Europe, launched in 2022.
