Altea Energy strengthens its international growth in the energy sector with the acquisition of UK-based company TEAM Energy

This transaction marks a new strategic milestone in Altea Energy’s international development and confirms its ambition to build a multi-specialist energy group with strong local expertise.

A strategic entry into the UK market

Through this acquisition, Altea Energy significantly strengthens its presence in the United Kingdom, a key market for the energy industry, particularly in the oil & gas and nuclear sectors.

TEAM Energy brings in-depth knowledge of the UK market, supported by local teams based in Norwich and Aberdeen, as well as long-standing relationships with major players in the British energy industry.

This local footprint is reinforced by an international community of experienced consultants, enabling the Group to combine on-the-ground proximity, responsiveness and sector-specific expertise. 

Building a strengthened international group

Founded in 2008, Altea Energy selects and deploys qualified technical experts for its clients’ energy projects worldwide. In addition, the Group offers more integrated services to its long-standing clients, based on a long-term partnership strategy.

Comprising five subsidiaries, the Group has supported more than 300 projects for leading players in oil & gas, renewable energy and nuclear power, and now operates in over 100 countries, with a strong presence in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and South America, in strict compliance with local regulations.

Across the Channel, TEAM Energy, founded in 1987, provides technical assistance and consulting services to the international energy industry. The company supports consultants of more than 40 nationalities, mobilised across over 30 countries, and has developed cutting-edge technical expertise, particularly in the subsea (offshore) sector.

The newly consolidated group offers a complementary and highly specialised service offering, capable of supporting energy projects across the entire value chain by combining international reach with strong local expertise. 

Governance and continuity

As part of this acquisition, Abid Raja, former Chief Operating Officer of Altea Energy, has been appointed Managing Director of TEAM Energy. This appointment ensures continuity in relationships with TEAM Energy’s clients and consultants, while accelerating operational integration.
