A Promising Start Despite the Summer Launch
The launch took place at the beginning of the summer holiday season, traditionally a quieter period for news consumption. Nevertheless, users engaged actively with ChatEurope from day one. Since June, traffic has been on a steady upward trend, showing growing demand for trustworthy European news powered by artificial intelligence.
 
Key Insights from July–August
The first analysis of user requests highlights the topics that drew the most attention:
  1. AI & EU Regulation – 1,356 questions
     A clear leader, with users eager to understand the European Union’s digital agenda: the AI Act, the Digital Services Act (DSA), and the Digital Markets Act (DMA).
  2. War in Ukraine – 317 questions
     The war remains a central concern for Europeans, particularly in the context of the mid-August Trump–Putin meeting in Alaska.
  3. Regional News & Local Updates – 90 questions
     Many users sought country- or region-specific news across the EU, underlining the need for localized information.

A Regular Barometer of European Concerns
This first overview demonstrates the appetite for reliable answers on the most pressing issues facing Europe. To maintain transparency and provide insights into citizens’ concerns, ChatEurope will publish every quarter a ranking of the most searched topics, based on the thousands of questions received.
