In November, Brazil is set to host a G20 summit, and Peru will chair the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum. Through such opportunities, Japan aims to develop and further elaborate the ties with the region.

Collaboration with Global South
During a meeting to promote cooperation with Global South countries on October 17th 2023, Kishida emphasized as:

"I believe that going forward, enhancing collaboration with emerging and developing countries collectively called the Global South and becoming partners with these countries, in addition to coordinating with like-mined countries, will not only serve Japan’s national interests, including its economic security aspects, but also lead the international community from division and confrontation to cooperation". In pursuit of collaboration with the Global South, Japan plans to establish a stable international order and formulate flagship projects through public-private partnerships. These initiatives aim to create a mutually beneficial mechanism for Japan and Global South countries, contributing to economic development and cooperation.
