Kansai has long been home to a concentration of university research institutions and companies, including manufacturers, making it a region where innovation readily arises.

The dedicated website , "Your gateway to Kansai Business", operated by the Union of Kansai Governments offers insights for overseas companies looking to find business partners in Kansai.

A total of 50 notable companies based in Kansai are featured across 5 industry sectors. These include carbon neutrality; life sciences and healthcare; advanced technologies, AI robotics, and the space industry; traditional crafts and manufacturing, as well as agritech and foodtech.

All featured companies are open to visits. Visitors are encouraged to visit the companies in person, look for partners who can help develop their business, and use this as an opportunity to open up the future of business in Kansai.
