BFM/RMC – Building a Digital News Powerhouse

News happens fast—and sometimes all at once. Last September, BFM’s leadership launched BFM 2, a 100% digital sister channel to its continuous news network. A live online stream that complements the traditional linear format, BFM 2 draws from streaming culture. Under increasing pressure from CNews, BFMTV is boosting its digital capabilities and now boasts more than 20 million social media followers. Its strong content offering includes hit podcasts like L’Afterfoot (RMC) and Le Titre à la Une, a native BFM format. In this episode, Julien Mielcarek, then Deputy Director of Digital News at BFM and RMC, shares insights into this strategic shift.

20 Minutes – Reinventing the Last Free Daily

Born on the streets in 2002, the free newspaper 20 Minutes turned the page on print last September and fully embraced a 100% digital future. The goal: modernize the reader experience while maintaining its popular, accessible tone. With videos, new content formats, and even a local TV channel, Editor-in-Chief Fanny Annoot-Oualia discusses the challenges of navigating this delicate transition during a fragile economic period. How do you bring the newsroom on board? How do you retain young professional readers? This episode dives into how a mainstream outlet adapts in a digital era.

Paris Match – Reinventing an Iconic Brand

Since its acquisition by LVMH, Paris Match has accelerated its transformation. The aim: expand the brand beyond print—into digital and live events. CEO and Editor-in-Chief Jérôme Béglé explains the strategic choices made to catch up with the brand’s "XXL digital delay" while staying true to its core identity. The social media momentum is clear: 12 dedicated staff, over 7 million followers, and 616 million video views in May alone.
