According to data from the European Commission, 82 million Europeans (one in five) spend more than 40% of their monthly income on housing, significantly more than the recommended threshold of 30%. The housing crisis is hindering job mobility, access to education, and starting families. It is also undermining the competitiveness of the EU economy and our social cohesion.
