It's a profession in distress, to which Paolin Pascot and his associates wanted to bring solutions. Together, they launched Agriconomie in 2014, to enable farmers to "save time and money."
This online sales platform, dedicated to agricultural purchases, allows them to access spare parts, seeds, or fertilizers "at the best prices" at any time. According to the co-founder, 85% of French farmers use it today.
As the grandson of a farmer and former president of La Ferme Digitale, an association of companies in the agricultural world aiming to create the farm of tomorrow, Paolin Pascot also aims to support these women and men towards a more sustainable agriculture.
Through his Agrico Academy, Paolin Pascot also offers business skills development for his employees who wish to venture into agricultural entrepreneurship themselves. This is a response to the continuous decline in the number of farmers in France.
The French company, also present in Germany, Italy, Spain, and Belgium, has just raised 60 million euros to pursue its ambition: to become the European leader in online agro-distribution.
