The end of an era?

Born on the streets in 2002, the free newspaper 20 Minutes turned the page on print last September to take a fully digital turn.

New graphic identity, new sections, videos on social networks, and even a TV channel in Île-de-France: the media outlet is aiming to revive its brand and reclaim its place in the daily life of the French.

A turn that became essential after years marked by significant economic shocks.

The media outlet that “doesn’t pretend” advocates accessible, free, and popular information... In short: “speaking to people as you would on a Sunday with family or at a casual get-together with friends,” explains Fanny Annoot-Oualia, its editor-in-chief.

She is the guest on our podcast “Ça bouge dans les médias.” 20 minutes of interview to help you understand their challenges.

On the agenda:

🔵 Retaining young professionals and longtime readers
🔵 Affirming the 20 Minutes “tone”
🔵 Engaging the newsroom despite layoffs
🔵 Transitioning from print to TV offering
