D-Day minus 1 for the M6 channel: tomorrow, its streaming offer "6Play" will become "M6+".
On the program: 30,000 hours of content, mainly from the group's flagship shows.
The M6 platform is getting a makeover, four months after the launch of TF1+, the streaming offer from its competitor TF1. This happens in a context where the average time French people spend watching linear TV continues to decline, in favor of an increasing number of video platforms over recent years.
Like "La Une," M6+ has chosen a hybrid model, between a free, ad-supported formula (AVOD) and a subscription (SVOD) to access certain advantages.
Beyond content, M6 announces an investment of 40 million euros starting this year and also counts on its AI-powered search engine.
Henri de Fontaines, member of the M6 management board and streaming director, is the guest of this podcast #65.
Among the topics discussed:
-
The M6 offer and its hybrid AVOD/SVOD model
-
The competition from TF1+
-
The issue of content overload
-
The lifespan of linear TV
